A chuck steak is a cut of beef that comes from the chuck primal, shoulder area of the cow. It is known for its rich, beefy flavor and good marbling, which makes it flavorful but also somewhat tougher than the premium cuts like ribeye. However, cooked right, braised, slow cooked, or marinated, this budget friendly cut delivers a lot of flavor. One per package 1 inch thick
Chuck steaks under a pound in weight are chuck eye steaks. These are much like the ribeye, as they are the smaller portion that ties the loin into the chuck. A nice cut of beef, however there are only a couple from each cow.
